Alcohol-free cocktails from Jörg Geiger
In recent years, Jörg Geiger from the Swabian town of Schlat near Göppingen have made a name for themselves in the production of fruit wines and alcohol-free cocktails and were awarded a prize by the international Slow Food foundation for biodiversity. The hand-picked, ripe apple and must pears which are used to make their products come from area's distinctive traditional fruit orchards at the foot of the Swabian Alb. The juices from these fruits provide a unique, natural and healthy basis for the cocktails, thanks to the unique acidity of the apples and the tannin notes in the pears. With added carbon dioxide. Intensive flavours of grapes, peaches and lemons arise from a the basis of ripe apple and pear varieties. Selected aromatic and medicinal herbs and spices lend the cocktail a pleasant fragrance.
